Catherine joined the Team in September 2007 as Carl's head girl. Catherine is from Cowes on the Isle of Wight, she began her career as a groom on a hunting yard belonging to David Biles. She then went onto work for the Geebung Polo Team for six years travelling between France and Spain, living in Bordeaux she often travelled to St Moritz for snow polo.

Catherine went onto work for HRH the Princess Royal and Zara Phillips where she went to the Europeans, Burghley and WEG with the British Eventing Team.

Since working with Carl she has travelled to Saumur, Olympia and the Sunshine Tour in Spain. She is currently focusing on Olympic preparation for Dolendo.

On her few days off Catherine enjoys hill walking especially in the Brecons.

Charlotte has trained and worked for Carl for since February 2007. She left school at the age of 16 and after achieving much success pony showing – including winning the Horse of the Year Show four times and Hickstead three times – she went to work for Judy Harvey for four years. At the beginning of 2007 she came to Carl for some lessons and he asked her to help out for 10 days and she never left after that.

Charlotte has also achieved a great deal with her own horse Fernandez, he was reserve Advanced Medium Champion in 2007 and together they have been selected to join the Equine Pathway Team for talented and promising young horses.  Charlotte also rides Carl's own horse Valegro and Clare Crocker’s Winston Bond.

On her days off Charlottes admits to enjoying a lot of sleeping plus socializing when she gets a chance.

Lucy has worked and trained with Carl since 2004. Having previously trained with Spencer Wilton, she was also asked if she would like to cover holidays over a period of six weeks and again never left. Lucy was a finalist in the 2006 BEF Groom of the Year awards.

In 2007 Lucy won the prestigious title of Young Rider Champion at Sheepgate and this year she is hoping to represent Great Britain at the European Young Rider Championships riding Sarah Tyler-Evans, Movistar.

In her spare time Lucy ‘really loves’ shopping and also a spot of socializing so long as it doesn’t interfere with her early morning starts.

Greg, from New Zealand, joined the team in 2008 to ride the young horses for Carl, he also has horses for his own clients to back and school at a nearby yard. Greg events his own horse.

Greg previously worked for Irish Event rider Sasha Stewart and groomed for her at the Athens Olympics.

In his spare time Greg likes to run and visit the gym.

Claudine has worked as Carl’s personal assistant for the last six years.  Originally from Jersey, Claudine left the Island in 2000 to work on his yard but after two years and a child later she was seconded to the office side where she currently takes charge of anything and everything behind the scenes.  Dealing with everything from all the correspondence, entries, paying the bills to even doing the shopping (if she has to!)

Bred by Kate Carter (by accident), Dexter's dad is a Rottweiler and mum a tiny Jack Russell. He made it into the national papers and appeared on breakfast TV as a puppy. Now 10 years old and a much loved character.

 

Squash's mum got run over while she was pregnant, hence the name! Squash is always seeking attention and is totally devoted to Catherine who he follows around the yard all day and after following her car down the drive may times, now goes home with her at night.

Dallas is a young boxer bitch who is very boistous and playful, she would love to chase the chickens given half a chance.

 

They certainly weren't supermodels when they arrived, these rescued battery hens are now strutting their stuff around the yard and garden and laying eggs again.
